Okay, now I think we can comfortably say that the Ottawa Senators have this thing back on track.
That was a statement win on Sunday night in Boston. The Sens were the better team from start to finish and really kept their foot on the gas for the full sixty minutes. Complete efforts have eluded the Senators at times this season but that was a clinic of sorts and in what should have been a pretty tough back to back situation. Yet even with four straight wins, Ottawa still sits just outside a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Ottawa Senators look to head into the holiday break on a high note as they host Josh Norris and the rest of the Buffalo Sabres.
Speaking of righting the ship, the Sabres seem to be doing something similar recently. They have reeled off an impressive six-game winning streak and actually trail the Senators by just two points heading into tonight’s match-up. Josh Norris has played a big part in their recent success too, putting up 10 points in nine games since returning from an injury at the start of the month.
The Senators will be on the ice for a morning skate in a little bit but expecting they’ll go with a similar lineup as the other night in Boston. Something like this.
Tkachuk-Stützle-Zetterlund
Perron-Cozens-Batherson
Amadio-Greig-Giroux
MacDermid-Halliday-Cousins
Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-Jensen
Matinpalo-Spence
Expecting Linus Ullmark again tonight.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM at The Tire. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200, 104.7 FM and at StreamThoseSens.org. Or something like that.
