Game Day – Senators Host Red Hot Bruins at CTC (Pinto Signs Four Year Extension)

They’re in surprisingly good shape.

With Brady Tkachuk’s return now just a couple weeks away, the Ottawa Senators are hangin’ in there. Sure, there are areas to clean up in their game but overall, the Sens have navigated the heck out of this time without their Captain. Points in 10 of their last 11 hockey games and while a handful of those games ended in overtime disappointment, every point matters when April rolls around. The Senators come into tonight’s game sitting third in the Atlantic and within striking distance of the top spot. That’ll do.

The Senators look to keep it rollin’ when they host the red-hot Boston Bruins on Thursday night in Ottawa.

One big change to the lineup as the Sens will be without Thomas Chabot for this one. Sounds like there is a chance he could return on Saturday and if not then, hopefully join the team on the road trip. Nobody called up which means Travis Green will go with one of his extra right shot defenceman playing the left side. Something like this maybe?

Perron-Stรผtzle-Batherson
Greig-Cozens-Zetterlund
Amadio-Pinto-Giroux
Cousins-Eller-Hodgson

Sanderson-Zub
Kleven-Spence
Jensen-Matinpalo

No word on a starting goalie tonight and there is a good case to be made for either guy in this one.

Puck drops at 7:08 PM. Game is available on TSN5 and on the radio at both TSN1200 and 104.7 FM. Streaming is an option. A game like this is best experienced in person though. Tickets still available if you wanna spend your Thursday in The Tire.

Wondering how these two teams match-up and have no recollection of the two games they’ve already played against each other? The HEAD2HEAD table is your only hope.
