Game Day – Preseason Continues in Toronto

One down. Seven to go.

A day after crumpling the Toronto Maple Leafs in their preseason opener, the Ottawa Senators are right back at it against those same ol’ Leaves.

There was obviously a lot to like about the Opener from a Sens perspective. Tim Stützle dominated the game at half speed, Brady Tkachuk somehow seems even bigger and Jake Sanderson gave an early glimpse of why the Senators were right to make that long-term investment.

Those three are going to play a huge part in any success the team has this year and based on yesterday’s effort, it looks like they’re ready to hit the ground running.

It will be a very different lineup that travels to Toronto tonight to take on the Leafs. In terms of forwards to keep an eye on, we’ll get a first look at the likes of Drake Batherson and Vladimir Tarasenko while projected bottom six guys like Dominik Kubalik, Mathieu Joseph, Ridly Greig and Boko Imama are out to make a strong first impression.

The blueline will be anchored by Jakob Chychrun and Thomas Chabot while guys like Max Guenette and Lassi Thomson look to force their way into the conversation.

Mads Sogaard will start and is scheduled to play the full game.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM. The game is available on Sportsnet and on the radio at TSN1200.
