Supporting Kids Up Front in Ottawa

Hockey Day in Canada has always been about more than the game. It’s about community, connection, and building that next generation of fans.

Kids Up Front Ottawa is doing just that.

Kids Up Front believes in the power of connection through experiences. They provide children and youth in the Ottawa area with free tickets to events including hockey games, sports, theatre, concerts and more. Since launching in 2017, Kids Up Front has placed more than 24,000 hockey fans in the stands at no cost, helping build the next generation of Senators, 67’s, and Charge fans.

January 17 is Hockey Day in Canada, and with the Ottawa Senators facing the Montreal Canadiens, Kids Up Front Ottawa is using the day as an opportunity to spotlight the impact of their work and raise critical funds needed to keep their programs going.

And they need our help!

A Challenge to Sens Fans

As part of a friendly (friendlyish, anyway) national challenge, Ottawa is aiming to be the first region to raise $5,000, earning what we can only assume would be eternal bragging rights as the champion city.

Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto are our competition.

Your donations will help prove what we already know – that Ottawa has the best hockey fans in Canada. More importantly, your gift will open doors for Ottawa kids, providing hockey tickets to those who could not otherwise attend a game.

Make your donation at: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/142827

And spread the word to Sens fans that may also want to help a good cause AND humble our rivals across the country.
