Senators Return for Afternoon Practice

I don’t have the exact information in front of me but I am quite certain that it has been YEARS since the last time the Ottawa Senators played an actual game of ice hockey.

This time without our beloved Sens has provided me with a unique opportunity at self-reflection. I started going to the gym. I learned a language. I made deep and meaningful connections with family members and established bonds with people that could last a lifetime. I am a different person, really.

Except now the Sens are back so it’s time to return to sluggin’ cold ones and talking about hockey to strangers on the internet.

GO SENS GO!

After a truly unpleasant All Star Weekend/Bye week hybrid of sorts, the Ottawa Senators are officially back at it this afternoon at their rink, which still isn’t located downtown. The good news is most of the players are present and accounted for at today’s practice. The bad news is they forget everything the Coach taught them about “game management”.

Back to the drawing board, Jacques!

The team may be back for practice but there’s an unfortunate development right outta the gate. Jake Sanderson was not on the ice at practice today which means that injury he suffered before the break wasn’t exactly a precautionary thing. We’ll see what the team has to say about his status after this afternoon’s practice.

Travis Hamonic and Anton Forsberg were both on the ice though. Here’s how the Sens lined up this afternoon.

The Senators host the Maple Leafs on Saturday night.
