Senators Recall Nick Paul

With Brady Tkachuk out for the next month (or a few more weeks at least) and with the status of Ryan Dzingel and Max McCormick still unclear, the Ottawa Senators have turned to Belleville for some help.

A familiar face is on his way back up.

This morning, the Senators announced that they have recalled forward Nick Paul.

Paul was already up with the team in Ottawa before this never-ending break between games so he was the logical choice this time around.  He has three points in two games with the BSens and by all accounts, was one of the best players on the ice during their game on Wednesday night.

While the likes of Filip Chlapik, Drake Batherson and Rudy Balcers have all been playing well to this point, you can tell that the Senators are trying to be patient with some of their high-end prospects.

Although in the case of Chlapik, a minor injury may also have been a factor.  Logan Brown is also going to be in the mix for a call up most of this season but he too is currently out with an injury.

The Belleville Senators host the Hartford Wolf Pack tonight. The Ottawa Senators never play again.
