The Claude Giroux slapshot on a breakaway is my favourite thing. Or one of them anyway. And it ain’t close.
Hypothetically, if you were the pro-tank type, this woulda been one of those games that would have been good to lose in regulation. But if you’re going to accidentally win a game down the stretch, it’s best to do it in the most hilarious and spectacular way possible.
Mission accomplished.
The Ottawa Senators started poorly, were fine in the middle part of the game and then were kind of underwhelming in the third period and somehow all those things combined resulted in a 3-2 shootout win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.
