Game Day- The Biggest Game of the Year

It has taken great discipline to avoid using the term prematurely.

It’s partly because of a subconscious and yet entirely crippling fear of jinxing them. And it’s also because of a lingering hope that bigger games were on the horizon. We are well past that point now. These are the most desperate of times and therefore, require the most desperate of measures.

Tonight in Boston, the Ottawa Senators play…

THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR.

Realistically, that moment may have already come and gone. Trailing by six points with just 12 games remaining may be a hill too steep. But honestly, to hell with realistic. If I really wanted to be realistic about things, I probably wouldn’t have spent 95% of my adult life thinking about the Sens. But here we are.

If the Ottawa Senators are going to pull off the unthinkable, it has to continue with another win tonight. All sorts of wacky stuff will need to happen afterwards but it has to start there. So if you have a lucky charm or a can’t-miss gameday routine or a favour you can call in with whoever you call in favours to….this is the time.

No changes expected to the Ottawa lineup ahead of this one.

Tkachuk-Stützle-Batherson
DeBrincat-Greig-Giroux
Brassard-Pinto-Gauthier
Brown-Gambrell-Watson

Chychrun-Hamonic

No word on a starting goalie just yet.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM in Boston. The game is available on TSN5 and on the radio at TSN1200. Internet streams, along with a cash prize, will be provided as a reward for the individual that can locate and destroy that um something Boston related before puck drop.
