Game Day- Senators Visit Wild in Minnesota

Yesterday was fun. We should do it again sometime.

Like today, maybe?

A little less than 24 hours after an impressive 6-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings, the Ottawa Senators are right back at it when they take on the equally red-hot Minnesota Wild.

Despite a fairly ridiculous run of injuries that includes their top two centres, a top pairing defenceman and a third line forward, the Senators are playing some of their best hockey of the season.

Four straight wins and an 8-2-1 record in their last eleven hockey games. In the blink of an eye, what looked like another disappointing season is back on the rails. Seven points back of the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference and with two games in hand.

Extremely and entirely, in the mix.

It won’t come easy today though. Not only is this a pretty tough back to back but the Minnesota Wild have been rolling along lately. They’ve won four straight and eight of their last ten and as the Senators found out back in late-October, this Wild team does just about everything right.

No Game Day skate for the Senators but we’ll assume they roll with the same lineup as yesterday in Detroit.
