The Sens took a big step forward this year. Meaningful games was the goal and up until early-April anyway, the Senators found themselves right in the thick of things. They came up short of the playoffs but there are all sorts of positives to take away from the 2022/2023 campaign and reason to believe there are better days ahead for this franchise.

The Ottawa Senators close out their season tonight against the Buffalo Sabres.
Some tinkering with the lines tonight but just one change. Max Guenette, a 21-year old 7th round pick, was recalled from Belleville earlier this week and will make his NHL debut. It’s a well-deserved opportunity for a player that has taken a significant step in his development this season. He’ll take Jacob Bernard-Docker’s spot on the blueline.
