Game Day- Atlantic Division Rivals Clash

With just six games remaining in their season, it’s safe to say the writing is on the wall for this team.

While expectations were elevated heading into a new year, they have fallen well short.  And for the majority of this season, they have been stuck at the bottom of the standings.  While most experts had them outside of the top three spots in the Atlantic Division, nobody thought they would be quite this bad.

Goaltending, defence, offence….it’s all been dreadful.  But the good news, just six games left on the schedule.

And honestly, a visit from a division rival may be just what the doctor ordered for this struggling squad.  Because I think we all want to see this team end the season on a high note. String a few wins together and feel good about themselves heading into the summer.

Next up, the Detroit Red Wings.  Let’s hope our Buffalo Sabres can rally for a big win on home ice and put a couple more points in the bank. Because can you imagine the embarrassment of finishing in last place? Noooo thanks.

Game day skate scheduled for later this morning but a best guess at the line up for now.

Girgensons-Eichel-Pominville
Rodrigues-Mittlestadt-Reinhart
Wilson-O’Reilly-Okposo
Nolan-Larsson-Baptiste

Guhle-Ristolainen
Scandella-Nelson
Beaulieu-Falk

Robin Lehner is expected to get the start in goal. Puck drop is scheduled for just after 7:00 PM.

LET’S GO SABRES!

Also, the Ottawa Senators host the Florida Panthers. That game starts at 7:30 PM.
