In show-business, they call it saving the best for last.
See, you don’t want to start with your biggest move. It’s all about building suspense. Keep ’em guessing right up until that grand finale.
Pierre Dorion, always the entertainer, clearly understands that.
He’s just uhh building up to that off-season blockbuster. Or something like that.
A couple days after locking up Cody Goloubef to a one year deal, the Senators have announced a new contract with forward Jack Rodewald.
It’s a one year, two-way deal.
The 25 year old forward is coming off a breakout season with the Belleville Senators, where he racked up an impressive 23 goals and 47 points through 59 games in the AHL.
Rodewald also appeared in six games in Ottawa last year.
Like Goloubef, Rodewald is unlikely to get into NHL games this season unless injuries strike. Still, his development over the last couple years has been pretty encouraging. Certainly a useful player at the AHL level.
Okay Pierre…now what?!
