While the rest of the hockey world is out there enjoying their summer vacations, Pierre Dorion is still locked up in his office, apparently.
And he’s gettin’ shit done on a Monday morning.
The Senators announced this morning that they have signed restricted free agent forward Michael Carcone to a two-year, two-way contract.
Carcone was acquired in the trade that sent Cody Ceci to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Cody Ceci plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs now, by the way.
The first year of Carcone’s deal is worth $700,000 in the National Hockey League and $85,000 in the American Hockey League. Year two is worth$700,000 in the NHL and $115,000 in the AHL.
The 23 year old Carcone had 27 points in 42 games with the Toronto Marlies last season and then 10 more in 13 playoff games.
Up next- Colin White.
