See, the thing about all winning streaks is they have to come to an end.
In the history of professional sports, no team has had a winning streak that continued forever. It’s just not possible. For anything really. Everything ends eventually.
But you know what goes on forever? Space. Like, it just doesn’t end.
By “infinite” we usually mean something which is limitless or endless. My position is space is finite. However, to demonstrate that let’s propose, for a moment, that space is infinite. In a simple sense if this were the case and I set out in a spaceship in any direction, I would never reach a boundary. But there’s a problem with this experiment: I would need to travel for an infinitely long period of time to ensure there isn’t a boundary “just a little further out”. The interesting point is no matter the model of the universe (and there are still important pieces missing here), the current cosmological thinking is there will be an ending and the universe will not persist forever. It has a finite existence in time and, to return to the start of my argument, therefore I would propose that at some stage my spaceship voyage will reach an end.
Nevermind. Nothing lasts forever.
The Ottawa Senators look to start a new pretty long but not eternal winning streak when they visit beautiful Winnipeg, Manitoba- home of the Jets.
Despite the injuries, the Senators have a chance to make this a successful road trip if they can find a way to ground the surprisingly high-flying Jets. Sorry, sorry. I’m trying to delete it. Winnipeg sits second in the Central Division, with an impressive 20-10-1 record including an 11-5-0 record on home ice.
Game Day skate is scheduled for 12:30 PM so we’ll have to wait till then to confirm the lineup.
There was some talk that either Tim Stutzle or Artem Zub might be ready to return as early as tonight but we’ll have to wait until early this afternoon to see if either of those guys tagged along on the road trip. Seems unlikely.
We’ll assume the same lineup for now.
Tkachuk-Brassard-Giroux
DeBrincat-Pinto-Batherson
Motte-Chartier-Gambrell
Kelly-Kastelic-Watson
Chabot-Zaitsev
Sanderson-Hamonic
Brannstrom-Holden
Cam Talbot is expected to get the start in goal for the Senators.
Puck drop is scheduled for just after 8:00 PM thanks to the entirely unnecessary and completely made up, Central Standard Time. The game is available on TSN3, TSN5, RDS, TSN1200 and I assume, on the world wide web.
Here is the HEAD2HEAD table you ordered.
