The off-season is just starting to kick into high gear but we can already officially start the countdown to next season.
This afternoon, the National Hockey League released the schedule for the 2017/2018 regular season.
The Senators will open their season on home ice against the Washington Capital on October 5th and play 8 of their first 12 games at the Canadian Tire Centre.
Ottawa plays their first game against the expansion Las Vegas Golden Knights on Novemver 4th at the CTC and they’ll be in Vegas for the first time on March 2nd, 2018.
The schedule includes 15 back to backs including 6 in the last month of the season. The trip to Sweden and the festivities surrounding the outdoor game mean a more condensed schedule for the Senators.
