After a miraculous come from behind win like last night's, it's kind of difficult to put it into words.
When I left Scotiabank Place on Sunday night after the Senators scored a convincing 6-1 win over the Habs in Game 3, I was convinced I had watched the best hockey game I'd ever see. Well on Tuesday night, the Sens may have topped that with their dramatic 3-2 overtime win.
Ottawa appeared to be down and out after two but an ugly goal by Mika Zibanejad turned the tide. And with less than 30 seconds to play, trade deadline acquisition Cory Conacher scored to tie the game at 2-2 and send SBP into an absolute frenzy.
It was loud on Sunday but the eruption after the Conacher goal was louder than anything I have ever heard at a hockey game.
With Carey Price sidelined and Peter Budaj between the pipes, Kyle Turris let along shot go that glanced off the arm of #61 defence, and into the net, giving Ottawa a 3-1 stranglehold in the series.
Sens are on the ice for practice at 1:00 PM today. Game 5 of this series goes tomorrow night in Montreal.
