Bryan Murray has rewarded a couple of players for strong playoffs down in the AHL and given them both some security moving forward.
The Ottawa Senators announced that they have signed Zach Smith to two year, one way deal and given forward Colin Greening a three year, one way deal.
Zach Smith has been a standout for the Binghamton Senators in these playoffs. He has played in all situations and been a phyisical force. He gets the security of a one year deal moving forward which is a nice reward for his hard work this season.
The Colin Greening signing is a little more surprising. He did a great job in his call up with the Sens but I wasn’t sure he was going to get a one way deal. He is a player that has all the tools to be successful at the NHL level and he will get a chance to prove that beginning next season.
Nice to see Bryan Murray crossing a couple items off his To Do list early in the off season though.
