The Ottawa Senators have dipped into the NCAA free agent pool again, as they are expected to ink Miami University forward Pat Cannone.
Cannone had 14 goals and 37 points this season with Miami.
Cannone is expected to report to Binghamton and join the team down there for their upcoming playoff run. This seems like a depth move more than anything that should help the AHL team if injuries strike. The Murray’s have done a great job putting that AHL team in a position to go on a run in this year’s playoffs.
Should be interesting to see how they do.
(UPDATE 10:03 AM) The Sens have also recalled five players from Bingo for the game against the Habs tonight. Andre Benoit, Erik Condra, Colin Greening, David Hale and Derek Smith are all expected to be in the line up.
