(UPDATE 12:01 PM)- The Senators made yesterday's news official this morning, signing Karlsson to a two year contract. It's a two way deal that will see the forward out of Northeastern earn $832,500 at the NHL level. Don't know a whole lot about the player but it's safe to say this is a good depth move for the AHL team down in Binghamton.
Elliotte Friedman has indicated this morning that the Ottawa Senators are close to signing college forward Ludwig Karlsson.
The 22 year old forward has spent the last two seasons at Northeastern University. He’s a 6’2, 194 lb Stockholm-native that scored five times in 17 games with Northeastern this past season. A familiar name but apparently he has no relation to star defenceman Erik Karlsson.
A little more information on the newest Senator is available here and here.
Hearing that Ludwig Karlsson — who just left Northeastern University — is going to sign with the Ottawa Senators
