The Ottawa Senators rookie camp gets started this morning, with the first game going tomorrow afternoon in London, Ontario.
That’s right. An actual hockey game will be played by individuals wearing Ottawa Senators uniforms. After the long and at times tumultuous off season that has unfolded here in the Nation’s Capital, it will be nice to have some actual hockey to talk about and to watch.
And it’s the second part of that last sentence that brings me to today’s topic- viewing options for Senators hockey and all TV for that matter. Now I’ll admit that my decision to bring this topic up is partly for selfish reasons as my contract with Bell recently expired and I’m trying to get a sense for what my options are with my next provider.
But I also think it would be a valuable discussion for a lot of readers trying to determine the best and most economical way to get their Sens fix this season.
I brought the topic up on Twitter last night- Looking for recommendations on satellite TV options, which include the ability to still watch all Ottawa Senators games. I had a bunch of interesting options (Streaming, Apple TV, etc) sent my way which made me think this might be a good topic here on the site.
It sounds like more and more people are getting away from satellite TV altogether and using some of the “on demand” and streaming options for their television needs. And are at the same time still able to watch all Ottawa Senators games.
So how do you do it? Who is your satellite provider or have you gone with one of the alternate methods? Do you stream all the games? And if so, who is your internet provider? What would you recommend? I call out to the lurkers to contribute on this topic too as any advice on the subject would be helpful.
We’ll get back to hockey later this afternoon but I wanted to try out this topic to see what the SensChirp readers came up with. Thanks!
