This certainly will be a busy week for the NHL. The Awards were last night, tomorrow we get the draft, later today the full regular season scheduled will be announced and last night the Ottawa Senators released their scheduled for the preseason.
Ottawa opens the preseason on September 19, on the road against Toronto. That means we officially have a day to count down to until the start of the next NHL season.
Another game of note features the Senators taking on the team from Winnipeg (which I assume will have a name by then?) in the annual Kraft Hockeyville Game. This year’s game will be played in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland.
Here is a look at the rest of the preseason schedule.
Monday, Sept. 19: Ottawa at Toronto, 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 21: Boston at Ottawa, 7:30 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 23: Montreal at Ottawa, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 24: Ottawa at Montreal, 7 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 26: Ottawa vs Winnipeg, Hockeyville, Conception Bay South, N.L.
Tuesday, Sept. 27: Toronto at Ottawa, 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 29: Ottawa at Boston
The NHL will release the full regular season schedule. We already know that the Sens will play the Red Wings in Detroit’s home opener and a draft version of the schedule had Ottawa playing their SBP opener against the Minnesota Wild.
