Every game the Sens play from here on out could appropriately be labelled the biggest game of their season.
The Ottawa Senators look to build off an electrifying win on Sunday night as they play Game 4 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. After a two day break, the Senators will be looking to use a raucous crowd at Scotiabank Place to draw even before heading back to Pittsburgh for Game 5 on Friday night.
The Penguins know they let one get away on Sunday night. With all that talent, you have to know Pittsburgh will come out flying in this one. Craig Anderson will have to be every bit as good as he was the other night.
More line up shuffling as it looks as Mark Stone is set to make his playoff debut.
Stone skated on the top line with Spezza and Conacher during the morning skate. Michalek’s absence is obviously concerning but it sounds like Conacher will be the odd man out as he stayed out with the rest of the Black Aces after the morning skate. Here is how the Sens are expected to line up.
Michalek-Spezza-Stone
Silfverberg-Turris-Alfredsson
Smith-Zibanejad-Neil
Greening-Pageau-Condra
Methot-Karlsson
Cowen-Gonchar
Phillips-Benoit
Craig Anderson gets the start for the Senators. Tomas Vokoun for the Penguins. Puck drop is scheduled for just after 7:30 PM.
GO SENS GO!!!!!
- Now I’m not one for conspiracy theories but here's an interesting article I dug up about Game 3 official Stephen Walkom. Turns out the Pittsburgh native once coached a hockey team that had a star-studded roster including Mario Lemieux’s daughter and Sidney Crosby’s sister. Isn’t that interesting!
