Five Players to Bingo, Sens Like Landeskog

This morning the Sens announced that they have demoted five players to Binghamton of the AHL. Among the names on the way to help out the AHL team are Erik Condra, Roman Wick, David Hale, Patrick Wiercioch and Andre Benoit.

Big game for Binghamton tonight as they have a chance to lock up their first playoff spot in six years. With the team desperately in need of a win, the big club has sent some reinforcements in time for their game with Norfolk.

Even though the Sens season is almost wrapped up, it should be interesting to follow the playoff run down in Bingo. That team has been impressive all year and once they have their full compliment of players in the line up, they could really do some damage.

Would expect a number of if not all of those players will return for tomorrow’s game against the Habs.

Received some interesting info regarding the Sens plans for draft day. While the club’s recent wins could very well mean a lower selection in June, their target has apparently remained unchanged.

According to one source, the club still has their sights set on Kitchener Rangers forward Gabriel Landeskog. Of course that may not be an option depending on where the Sens finish in the draft day pecking order but it could mean that a trade up is a possibility.

Here is how the standings look after last night’s action. The Islanders are in Boston tonight while the Panthers visit the Caps. Here’s hoping one of those teams can pull off an upset.

NY Islanders 79 30 37 12 72
Ottawa 80 31 39 10 72
Florida 79 29 38 12 70
