Hmm.
It would appear that the Ottawa Senators heard all that tank talk over the last week or so and have decided to just win out instead.
The Senators look for a third straight win when they visit Patrick Roy and the desperate New York Islanders.
It’s been well-documented that the Sens don’t have a lot left to play for down the stretch and that’s something we’ve seen a lot of around these parts over the last uh decade.
But if there is any joy to be found in these meaningless games down the stretch, it’s the opportunity to ruin things for other teams and fan bases. The Islanders are currently clinging to the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and a home ice loss to the Senators would be a massive blow to their playoff chances.
Lose and it’s good for the draft pick. Win and it makes someone else sad. The ol’ win/win, as they call it.
Here’s how Jacques Martin will line ’em up this afternoon.

Puck drop is scheduled for 12:30 PM, so please day drink responsibly. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200 and if you play your cards right, friendly internet pirates/Cliff might serve up some streams closer to game time.
And now, back by popular demand, the HEAD2HEAD table. Featuring the same amount of columns and rows and statistical information but with a little more love.
