And then there were two.
Pierre Dorion has apparently crossed another RFA off his summer To Do List this morning, locking up defenceman Christian Wolanin to a two year deal.
The first (two-way) year is worth $800,000 in the NHL and $100,000 in the AHL while the second year is a one-way deal worth $1,000,000. Nobody gets value from their RFAs quite like the Ottawa Senators.
Wolanin appeared in 30 games with the Senators last year, putting up 12 points.
With the blueline looking a little bit crowded, the Sens will be happy with the flexibility of a two-way deal next season.
Although based on his progress last year, you would certainly think Wolanin has a good shot at a spot in the line up on opening night.
Colin White and the recently-acquired Michael Carcone are the remaining RFAs still without a contract.
