Goaltending was at the top of Pierre Dorion’s off season To Do list and on the first day of free agency, he crossed that item off the list.
And paid a big price to do it.
The Ottawa Senators have signed Joonas Korpisalo to five year deal worth $4 million a season. The contract is worth $4 million next season, $5 million the year after, $3.5 million in year three and $3 million in the fourth and final year.
The 29-year old Korpisalo split last season between Columbus and Los Angeles. In his 11 games with the Kings, he put up a 7-3-1 record, a 2.13 GAA and a .921 sv%.
