End of an era.
A mostly unpleasant, often over-dramatic and rather disappointing era. Logan Brown is headed to the St. Louis Blues.
This afternoon, the Senators announced that they have sent Brown to his hometown team. In return, the Senators are getting forward Zach Sanford. A conditional 4th round pick was also included by the Senators.
Sanford is a 26-year old forward coming off a 10 goal, 16 point season with the Blues. Logan Brown is an often-injured forward that had clearly lost interest in being an Ottawa Senator.
Seems like a deal that works out for both the Senators and for Logan Brown. We’ll have to wait and see how it turns out for the Blues.
Here’s Pierre Dorion on the deal…
“We expect Zach’s addition to prove beneficial for us in a number of ways. He’s a big man who skates well, a power forward who plays with energy and a former Stanley Cup winner. As someone who’s had a 16-goal season, he’s very capable of contributing offensively, too.”
