The Senators are bringing two additional players to Training Camp including defenceman Calen Addison and forward Nikolay Kulemin.
Addison is a 24-year old right hand shot that appeared in 60 games with the San Jose Sharks last season. He was a -35 but there’s a decent chance that was the team lead in San Jose. Before his time with the Sharks, Addison put together a 29 points in 62 games season with the Minnesota Wild.
Kulemin, yes that Kulemin, is a little longer in the tooth, at the age of 38. He spent the last six seasons in the KHL, which is plenty of time to get the Leaf stink off him from his early days in the NHL. He had a 30 goal season in the NHL. 14 years ago.
Staios has made it clear that he wanted to add a little competition to Travis Green’s Training Camp of Doom and he has done that by adding a couple hockey player veterans to the mix this afternoon.
