After what feels like a seemingly endless break, the start of the second round is nearly here.
Both Western Conference series get started tonight but the important series- Ottawa and New York– gets started tomorrow night at the Canadian Tire Centre.
Guy Boucher had his team on the ice for practice earlier today and it was pretty much all hands on deck.
Mark Borowiecki was the lone regular missing in what was Ottawa’s final real tune up in preparation for the Rangers. They’ll be on the ice for a short game day skate tomorrow at 10:30 AM and we’ll find out exactly what Boucher has in mind for a line up shortly after that. Tom Pyatt is available to return and it sounds like there’s a chance he could play tomorrow although he wasn’t in the regular line rotations at practice today.
Here’s how Boucher lined ’em up.
MacArthur-Brassard-Ryan
Hoffman-Pageau-Stone
Dzingel-Turris-Burrows
Stalberg-Smith-Wingels
Methot-Karlsson
Phaneuf-Ceci
Claesson-Harpur
Expect something pretty close to this for Game 1.
If you’re still thinking about heading to the game tomorrow, just do it. There are still tickets available and at reasonable prices. Our team worked hard to earn home ice advantage and they’ll be counting on a full building to give them a boost early in this series.
27 hours. That’s it. Maybe like 26.5 now.
That’s all that separates us from the start of the second round of the playoffs.
And according to my calculations, that means you can watch the following video like 1600 times before puck drop.
We made a lot of memories in the first round.
Now make sure you’re here for Round 2: https://t.co/tmawlEBiku#ALLIN pic.twitter.com/j2dV1azHoG
