We’ve almost made it. In theory, anyway.
Sure, the Ottawa Senators will be back in a couple days, but in what state? How has this lengthy break changed them as a hockey team and in what condition will they be when they return to reality? And at the same time, what about us? How have we evolved as people and are we really ready for their return?
The answer is of course, yes definitely. Please hurry, Sens. This has gone on long enough.
The Ottawa Senators returned to the practice this evening at the Canadian Tire Centre.
A couple interesting developments from their return.
First of all, and most importantly, Zub. As in Artem Zub was back out there and should be ready to play on Saturday afternoon. He was on a pair with Nick Holden, while Erik Brannstrom found himself as the odd man out.
Up front, it seems like Austin Watson was the extra. Same as before the break.
Cam Talbot skated but won’t be able to go on Saturday. Mads Søgaard dressed as the back up and likely will on Saturday too.
Here’s how the Senators lined up for a rare night time practice
Tkachuk-Stützle-Joseph
DeBrincat-Greig-Giroux
Brassard-Pinto-Batherson
Motte-Gambrell-Kelly
Watson
Chabot-Zaitsev
Sanderson-Hamonic
Holden-Zub
Brannstrom
Forsberg
Søgaard
Line combinations! We’re almost there!
