There has been a lot of talk about jerseys recently.
With the news that the league’s switch to Adidas would mean only a home and away jersey for each team, Sens fans have been rightfully concerned. The possibility of losing one of the league’s best uniforms, the black heritage jersey, has fans in a bit of an uproar. And now with the announcement of Tom Anselmi as new President and CEO, the talk about rebranding has continued.
CBC had a great article on the subject earlier today. We ran a lengthy feature on the subject last year.
The thing fans find most frustrating is not only that the teams has actually had damn good jerseys in the past but also that there are some terrific fan-designed concepts floating around.
With that in mind, and with the support of @Le_Collectif, I though it would be interesting to run an informal poll of sorts. Not sure if the results will have an influence on what the organization does with their logo and uniform going forward but I do think the information gathered here will be helpful in terms of letting them know where the fan base is at on this issue. So I encourage you to share this post with all Sens fans you know and make sure they cast a vote.
So here’s the question- if you had your choice, which home and away combination would you like to see the Ottawa Senators use? There are three options shown below. The fourth option in the poll is to keep something similar to what they have now, with the same current 3D logo.
1- Heritage Jersey with the O logo (Black/White)
2- 2D Logo (Red/White)
3- 2D Logo (Black/White)
