(UPDATE 4:40 PM)- June 26th. Lock it, folks. We officially have a date for the NHL Lottery. And now, the format…
The draft itself will not take place until after the completion of the post-season.

Next week finally came.
And now we wait for the details.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is expected to announce the league’s plans for a return to play. As part of that announcement, he’ll reveal the format for the Draft Lottery and for the Draft itself.
The day we’ve been stressing over is finally here. The early indications are not great but maybe not entirely unexpected.
Of course this really doesn’t tell us much about percentages, number of draws and the possibility of limiting the number of spots a team can move up.
Just a reminder that no matter what the league says today, it’s almost certain that the Ottawa Senators will have the best chance, or maybe second best chance, at landing the first overall pick. Oh and this.
We’ll see what the Commish has to say later this afternoon.
