There is one major item left on the Ottawa Senators off season To Do List and according to Sens Assistant GM Pierre Dorion, it may soon be taken care of.
Pierre Dorion spoke to the media this afternoon and suggested that the Senators are close to a new contract with restricted free agent goaltender Robin Lehner. The two sides have apparently agreed on the term of the deal and all that’s left to iron out is the dollar figure on the new contract.
The #Sens are closing in on a deal with Robin Lehner. Agreed on term. Have to work out money.

Speaking to a couple different people this afternoon it sounds like the two sides have settled on a bridge deal of sorts believed to be three years in length. Haven’t heard any dollar figures just yet but I expect the cap hit to come in at less than $2.5 mil a season. We shall see.
Some other good news from Pierre Dorion today as he suggested that the team has held extension talks with three key unrestricted free agents to be in Bobby Ryan, Marc Methot and Clarke MacArthur. Getting those three locked up to new contracts would be a huge step in the right direction for the Senators.
Glad to hear Management is making it a priority.
