Jaros Signs One-Year Deal

Pierre Dorion has crossed the final item off his To Do list.

Tonight, the Ottawa Senators announced they have avoided arbitration and signed 24-year old defenceman Christian Jaros to a one-year, two-way contract.

The two sides avoid an arbitration hearing that was scheduled for November 7th.

Jaros is coming off a season in which he appeared in just 13 games at the NHL level and another 34 with the Belleville Senators. Once thought to be a lock for the blueline in Ottawa, Jaros now finds himself on the bubble heading into a new season.

With the additions of Josh Brown and Erik Gudbransson, things are starting to look a little bit crowded on the right side, and it looks like Jaros is likely going to be one of the guys on the outside looking in next year.

Anything else going on tonight?
