Community.
In the early days of SensChirp, I’ll admit that community wasn’t a huge part of what I had in mind.
With occasional access to inside information, my thought was that I could share that intel, leverage that spilling of beans into a job in sports journalism and then ultimately, achieve fame and riches on a scale beyond my wildest hopes and dreams. Looking back, there may have been some holes in that original plan.
But as somebody once told me, everything works out in the end. If it hasn’t worked out yet, then it’s not the end.
While SensChirp may not have followed the exact script I was dreaming of back 2008, what we’ve built here is something even better.
A community.
It’s the Ottawa Senators that bring us together but it’s that unique sense of community that keeps us all coming back. Reading the holiday greetings in the comment section over the last couple days has been another good reminder of just how unique this place really is.
We’ll be back with a Game Day post in a couple days but I wanted to stop in and say thanks for all the kind words and more importantly, thanks for your continued support of the site.
There are some big things brewing for SensChirp Enterprises in the New Year and I’m excited to see where we take this site next. Oh and there’s a miracle push to the playoffs just around the corner too.
So rest up, Sens fans.
