Game Day- Struggling Senators Visit Lowly Red Wings

The Senators are bad. The Red Wings are much worse.

Tonight in Detroit, the movable object meets the stoppable force. It’s David against uhh David. It’s 30th vs. 31st in what some experts are calling, a game of professional ice hockey.

Let’s turn it over to our new SensChirp correspondent for a closer look at tonight’s match-up.

Oh.

Anyway, lots of changes to the line up as the Senators continue to manage the recent rash of injuries. Nick Paul is out for the foreseeable future after that ugly looking lower-body injury against the Capitals. Filip Chlapik was recalled from Belleville yesterday and will play.

Meanwhile on defence, Mark Borowiecki missed practice but will likely play tonight in Detroit. Game time decision. Ron Hainsey is ready to go. Christian Jaros was sent back to Belleville to make room.

Here’s how the Senators are expected to line up based on yesterday’s practice.

Tkachuk-Pageau-Brown
Duclair-Anisimov-Batherson
Balcers-White-Ennis
Namestnikov-Tierney- Chlapik

Chabot-Hainsey
Reilly-DeMelo
Englund/Borowiecki-Goloubef

Marcus Hogberg gets the start in goal.

Puck drop is scheduled for just after 7:30 PM with the game available through television, radio, internet and interpretive dance.

Here’s a table that reveals additional details on tonight’s combatants.
