I’m uh not having fun anymore.
Looking at the schedule a couple weeks ago, there was certainly cause for concern. That five-game road trip was filled with tough opponents and with the Ottawa Senators clearly struggling to find their game, it was obviously going to be a difficult stretch.
Difficult doesn’t even come close to describing it.
The last six games have been downright disastrous for the Senators. Season-ruining, in fact. Uninspired performances, coaching changes, blown leads and downright depressing reflections from the team’s Captain. If this isn’t rock-bottom, I’m a little bit scared to find out what is.
The Ottawa Senators begin their NHL-record 48-game win streak when they play host to Erik Karlsson and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Jacques Martin will have his team on the ice for a Game Day skate at 10:30 AM this morning. We’ll find out a bit more about the lineup then.

No word on a starting goalie.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM at the CTC in beautiful Kanata, Ontario. The game is available on Sportsnet 360 and CityTV. Streams should pop up a little closer to game time.
Here’s a closer look at how these teams match-up via the HEAD2HEAD table. Highly recommend not looking directly at those penalty kill stats. Woof.
