No more breaks, okay?
After another grueling four day stretch without Sens hockey- the third such break in just over a month- the Ottawa Senators finally return to the ice.
And for good this time.
35 games left in the regular season including three straight on the road this week. The Senators better get comfortable on the road too as they’ll play 21 of their final 35 games as the visitor. Oh and the good news- no breaks longer than two days the rest of the year.
Up first- Roberto Luongo and the Florida Panthers.
While the Panthers have been a mess off the ice, things have been just as unpredictable on the ice. Injuries have been a huge issue for this Panthers team for most of the season. They’ve been without key players, including Jonathan Huberdeau and Aleksander Barkov, for significant portions of the year.
They sit 27th in goals for, 14th in goals against and their power play is ranked 24th. Certainly not a recipe for success. Heading into tonight, they trail the Senators by six points, and Ottawa has three games in hand.
Guy Boucher had his team back on the ice for an evening practice last night and everyone but Erik Karlsson was in attendance. He was given an extra day off following the All Star festivities in Los Angeles.
We’ll confirm the line up after the morning skate.

Mike Condon makes another start in the Ottawa goal. Craig Anderson was on the ice for practice yesterday but is still a couple weeks away from a return to the Ottawa net. Puck drop is scheduled for just after 7:30 PM.
