You know it’s gonna be a rough Game Day post when the game starts in like two hours and the best idea you can come up with is trying to subtly incorporate song lyrics from St. Louis-native Nelly.
Anyway, it’s definitely not getting hot in here, for the Ottawa Senators.
They have now dropped five straight. We’ve been through our fair share of losing streaks around these parts but there is something particularly infuriating about this recent slide.
And it hit a new level of frustration with a Sunday night’s loss in Vegas. Unlike the previous four outings, the Senators truly deserved better. One second a Vegas forward is toe-picking in the offensive zone and in the blink of an eye, the Senators have lost five straight and the TV is out on the front lawn. That’s hockey though.
The Senators will look to right the ship when they visit the Blues in St. Louis.
DJ Smith met with the media this afternoon and it sounds like there could be one potential change to the lineup as Connor Brown is dealing with a bit of an injury. Tyler Ennis, the best to ever do it, is ready and waiting.
Tkachuk-Norris-Ennis
Formenton-Stützle-Gaudette
Paul-White-Sanford

Anton Forsberg stars in goal.
Puck drop is scheduled for 8:08 in St. Louis. The game is available on TSN5 (TSNs 1 to 4 are showing darts), RDS (RDS2 has old poker) and on the radio at TSN1200 (580 CFRA has loud news updates).
Here’s a closer look at how these two teams match up although I would suggest not looking too closely.
