Still one day until the NHL Trade deadline and the madness has already started. A flurry of afternoon deals sent the hockey world into a frenzy that culminated with Roberto Luongo being dealt from Vancouver to Florida. And based on some of the talk out there right now, the fun may just be beginning.
And as exciting as tomorrow is going to be, the Ottawa Senators have some business to take care of on the ice first.
The Senators will look to build on a big win in the Heritage Classic when they visit the last place team in the Western Conference- the Edmonton Oilers. It should go without saying at this point but this is another huge game for Ottawa. The playoffs are a long shot at this point but the only way the Sens are going to have a shot is by winning a whole lot of hockey games. This is one they desperately need.
The Sens Army was abuzz earlier today when the team announced they had placed Cory Conacher and Joe Corvo on waivers. Conacher isn’t expected to clear tomorrow so he could very well be playing his last game in an Ottawa uniform. And he’ll do so on the team’s top line. Joe Corvo and Matt Kassian will both be healthy scratches. Here is how the Senators are expected to line up.

Craig Anderson gets the start in the Ottawa goal. Puck drop is scheduled for just after 9:30 PM.
