See, the nice thing about the Ottawa Senators is they’re always just kind of there.
Sometimes it’s good. Sometimes it’s bad. Okay it’s mostly bad. But ultimately, when you really need them, there they are. Just skating around and being a professional hockey team and what not. And really, that’s all we can reasonably expect of them. To continue to exist.
The Ottawa Senators continue their existence tonight at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.
There have been some disappointing moments in this season but that last game against the Rangers might be right at the top of the list.
It’s not that it was their worst game of the year but rather, their laziest. Their least inspired. And just, all around dumb. You can point the finger at the Coach on a night like that if it gives you some comfort but the fact is, if that’s how the team’s top players are going to play, this team has zero chance. Regardless of who you put behind the bench. Spartacat himself couldn’t work with that kind of effort.
And that’s why tonight’s game under the bright lights at MSG, this team has gotta show up. OR ELSE.
Sounds like there could be some shuffling of the Ottawa lineup ahead of this one. One change for sure as Derick Brassard comes out and Dylan Gambrell returns. DJ Smith helpfully reminded everyone that there are seven defenceman with the team at the moment, including our dear old friend Nikita Zaitsev, which means the blueline is more of a game time decision.
Tkachuk-Stützle-Giroux

Cam Talbot starts.
Look, if you don’t know what time the puck drops or what channel the game is on, well that’s on you. And if you need an illegal internet stream, don’t expect me to enable that kind of shady behaviour. Jk jk the comment section will be rammed with links.
Oh and I’ve decided to bench the HEAD2HEAD table for a game to send a message to the rest of you.
That’s called leadership.
Also, those tables are VV tricky to make.
