There are many things I would to like say about today’s game.
I would like to point out that the Ottawa Senators are playing some of their best hockey of the season and that a game against the league-leading Bruins has the potential to be a game of some magnitude. I also would like to say something about the significance of it relative to the games that have been played so far this season. But I have learned my lesson and will not do any of that.
The Ottawa Senators visit the Boston Bruins on Monday afternoon.
In this portion of the Game Day post I would usually reference the current standings. Something about the gap between the Sens and a hypothetical playoff spot. I may refer to this game as exactly the type of meaningful hockey we had hoped to see this season. Of course, I will not do any of that this time.
One change to the lineup as the recently acquired Julien Gauthier draws in for Derick Brassard. Gauthier will wear #77 in his Sens debut.
Tkachuk-Stützle-Giroux
DeBrincat-Pinto-Batherson
Gauthier-Greig-Joseph
Kelly-Gambrell-Watson
Chabot-Zaitsev
Brannstrom-Zub
Larsson-Hamonic
Kevin Mandolese gets the start in goal.
Puck drop is scheduled for just after 1:00 PM. The game is available on TSN5, RDS and on the radio at TSN1200. If streaming is more your speed, some early rising internet pirates are on stand-by, ready to support.
Wondering how the Ottawa Senators match-up against the league-leading Bruins but the early Monday start has left you too sleepy to do your own research? The HEAD2HEAD table will do the work for you.
Oh…and another thing…we did it! Let that be a lesson to all the young and aspiring Twitter accounts out there- the key to Twitter success is shouting out the names of goal scorers and avoiding controversial opinions and negativity at all costs.
Thanks for the support, everyone!
