Nick Paul, Josh Brown, Zach Sanford out. Travis Hamonic, Mathieu Joseph and Zach Senyshyn in. There were a handful of draft picks flung in various directions but that captures the “madness” of the Trade Deadline in the Nation’s Capital.
Fireworks it was not and yet if one was to follow the online discourse in the last 48 hours or so, you might think that Pierre Dorion traded away all of our individual hopes and dreams.
In these grimpossible times facing our hopeless franchise, we must find a way to persevere. And what better way than a Tuesday night visit to the Island.
Senators and Islanders, later tonight. Unless Pierre trades that too.
Lineup is a bit of a mystery at this point but what we do know is Mathieu Joseph makes his Sens debut. No game day skate so we’ll have to wait until puck drop to figure out exactly where he’s going to line up to start the game but he’ll do it in Nick Paul’s recently vacated #21.
Oh and you thought Nick Paul did it all!
Puck drop is scheduled just a shade after 7:30 PM. The game is available on TSN5, RDS2 and on the radio at TSN1200, courtesy of Dean and Gord. If streaming is your thing, keep an eye on the comment section closer to game time.
Wondering how these teams might fare but simply don’t have the patience to wait until the game plays out in a few hours?
Let the HEAD2HEAD table spoil the whole damn thing.
