Really starting to cut it kind of close with these Game Day posts.
The good news is, many of the details are the same as the last game. Same lineup, same red-hot Ottawa Senators and same ol’ AHL quality opponent. The rink may be different but the result will be the same- sad Habs fans leaving the building half-way through the third period. Under normal circumstances, I’d suggest that this kind of intro is a little over-the-top and guilty of disrespecting the opposition. But in this case, no rispek is warranted.
The Ottawa Senators visit the Montreal Canadiens in their last game before the NHL All Star break.
Same lineup for this one because, why mess with perfection? Thomas Chabot took the day off the other day but is good to go tonight. Here’s how the Senators are expected to line up at the Bell Centre.
Tkachuk-Stützle-Joseph
DeBrincat-Greig-Giroux
Brassard-Pinto-Batherson
Kelly/Motte-Gambrell-Watson
Chabot-Holden
Sanderson-Hamonic
Brannstrom-Zaitsev
Anton Forsberg gets another start in goal for the Senators.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM in Montreal or like Wednesday by the time they wrap up some obscure pregame ceremony for Eric Desjardins. The game is available on TSN2, TSN5 and RDS and on streaming sites provided by fluently bilingual internet pirates.
Here’s a closer look at how the Senators match-up against the Montreal sièges de toilette.
