Game Day- Senators Continue Road Trip in Columbus

A recurring theme of sorts in the last week but the Ottawa Senators looked damn good last night.

Maybe they didn’t dictate the pace of the game the way they did against the Sabres and Penguins but still, they played well. Through forty minutes, it was pretty much a textbook road game. They had it but just couldn’t close it out. Unfortunately, that’s also recurring theme in the last week. Close but no cigar, as the old saying goes.

The Ottawa Senators will be looking for that elusive sixty-minute effort when they visit Columbus Blue Jackets on Sunday night.

DJ Smith just wrapped up his morning media availability, via video call if you can believe it, and it sounds like there will be some lineup shuffling.

According to the Head Coach, there are a couple guys dealing with minor injuries and they’d like to have some fresh legs in there on the back to back. We’ll find out who’s in and who’s out at game time.

Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Formenton-Stützle-Sanford
Paul-Gambrell-Watson
Bishop-Tierney-Gaudette

Chabot-Zub
Brannstrom-Brown
Holden-Bernard-Docker

Anton Forsberg is expected to get the start in goal.

Puck drop is scheduled for just after the 6:00 PM hour. Those Sunday night dinner plans you had with your family? Cancel that because the Senators are in Session.

The game is available on TSN5 and TSN1200. If illegal internet streams are more your speed, I know a guy who knows a guy that can hook you up.

Here’s a closer look at tonight’s match-up.
