Every day’s an endless stream
Of cigarettes and magazines
And each town looks the same to me
The movies and the factories
And every stranger’s face I see
Reminds me that I long to be…Homeward bound
After a relentless nine-game road trip that spanned two calendar years and saw the team drift aimlessly from coast-to-coast and timezone to timezone, the Ottawa Senators finally return home.
And not a moment too soon.
As the season rapidly approaches the halfway mark, the Sens are in the thick of things in the Eastern Conference. Technically they sit outside of the playoffs heading into Thursday’s action but points percentage has ’em clinging to a spot.
They’ll have plenty of opportunities to use those games in hand in the next few weeks . The Senators play 11 games in the next 17 days in what is one of the busiest stretches of their schedule.
Time to get to work.
The Ottawa Senators host the Buffalo Sabres at the Canadian Tire Centre in beautiful Kanata, Ontario.
Travis Green just wrapped up his Game Day skate and it looks like they’ll roll with a similar look as Tuesday in Detroit.
Here’s how they lined up this morning…
Tkachuk-Pinto-Greig
Giroux-Stützle-Batherson
Cousins-Norris-Gaudette
Reinhardt-Ostapchuk-Gregor
Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-Jensen
Kleven-Matinpalo
Anton Forsberg gets the start in goal.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM. Hope they’ve cleaned the Team Canada stink outta that place by then. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200 and can be streamed on an endless uh stream of streaming sites.
Here’s a different HEAD2HEAD table because I’m pretty sure mine is busted.
