Game Day- Senators Return Home to Face Kings

It’s another Ottawa Senators GAME DAY. And you know what that means?!

It means it’s time to sit back and watch another high-tempo, all-out effort that ideally ends in a loss but if it ends in a win that’s okay too because we all like the Sens and want what’s best for them but also understand that a top draft pick would be good although we recognize that the Draft Lottery is completely random anyway and basically our entire fate rests in the hands of the bouncing of those stupid ping pong balls but that’s okay because there are lots of good players at the top of the draft.

I mean uhh, Go Sens Go.

The Ottawa Senators host the Los Angeles Kings tonight at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Some line up shuffling ahead of this one.

Jonathan Davidsson was recalled from Belleville and will make his NHL debut tonight. Meanwhile Colin White has been taken off the injured reserve list and will play in Belleville tomorrow on a conditioning stint.

Rudolfs Balcers also skated with the team today but in a non-contact jersey. Obviously he’s getting pretty close to making his return. Once he’s cleared to play, the plan is to have him start in Belleville.

To summarize, some of the kids are now alright.

Bobby Ryan and Mikkel Boedker are healthy scratches tonight. No days off though. Ryan will wear the Spartacat suit and Boedker has been assigned to parking lot duty.

Here’s how DJ Smith had his team lined up at the morning skate.
