If you were in the building last night, you’ll know there was just a different feeling in the air. And it’s been a long time since we felt that in the Canadian Tire Centre.
A meaingful (or uh meaningful) hockey game. And while there is still a long road ahead, the Ottawa Senators showed up when it mattered most. They rose to the challenge in every way imaginable and they did it with all their top players leading the way. They knew it was an important game and they took their game to another level.
The reality of the situation they’re in though is last night only matters if they can do it again. The Ottawa Senators host the Detroit Red Wings again on Tuesday night.
DJ Smith won’t meet with the media until 4:45 PM today so we’ll find out more about the lineup then. Seems likely they would roll with the same combinations though.
Tkachuk-Stützle-Giroux

Chabot-Zub
Sanderson-Hamonic

No confirmation yet but based on post-game remarks, it certainly sounds like Mads Søgaard will get the start for the good guys.
Same start time, same TV channels, same radio station, same opponent and same guy (Bort) providing the illegal internet streams. Consistency is important this time of year.
Who fucking wants it (the HEAD2HEAD table)?!
