You know what really gets my goat?
The NHL schedule. Here I am enjoying a nice spring day. No responsibilities and not a care in the world. And then to my shock and amazement, it is brought to my attention that the Ottawa Senators are playing. Again. Against the Detroit Red Wings. AGAIN.
Of course, this is something I should have expected considering Bort down at the league’s scheduling office has scheduled the Ottawa Senators to play every single day for like three months. A session is a session though, as the old saying goes.
The Ottawa Senators travel to the Pizza Pizza Palace to take on the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night.
There’s good news and there’s bad news heading into this one. We’ll start with the bad news- Detroit’s lineup includes Filip Zadina and I have it on good authority he’s got a plan to fill Ottawa’s net with pucks this evening. Yikes. The good news is Drake Batherson might play!
Here’s how the team lined up in this morning’s skate.
Tkachuk-Norris-Joseph
Formenton-Stützle-Batherson
Kelly-White-Brown
Gaudette-Gambrell-Watson
Brannstrom-Zub
Del Zotto-Hamonic
Holden-Zaitsev
Anton Forsberg gets the start
Puck drop is scheduled for eight minutes after the half hour of the seven o’clock hour. Um so 7:38 PM. The game is available on your television, your radio and your mobile device.
Wondering how the Senators match-up against the Red Wings? Pretty, pretttttttty pretty good actually.
