Game Day – Senators Look to Bounce Back vs. Lightning

Look, I’m scared.

There’s no other word for it really. It’s not panic. It’s not negativity. It’s none of that. It’s just the reality of wanting something so bad but having no control over whether you get that thing or not. Sit there, watch and hope for the best.

Hell of a hobby, I’ve got here.

With eight games left in the season, the opportunity is clear. This team has spent years preparing for and building towards this exact thing. And now, it’s right friggin’ there. Just take the damn thing.

The Ottawa Senators look to bounce back from an ugly effort against the Sabres when they host the high-flying Tampa Bay Lightning.

Same lineup for this one. That means Tkachuk is out again but Jensen is good to go. Nick Cousins was back on the ice in a non-contact jersey. He’s missed 25 games following knee surgery earlier in the season.

Here’s how Travis Green lined ’em up this morning.

Zetterlund-Stützle-Giroux
Perron-Cozens-Batherson
Greig-Pinto-Amadio
Highmore-Gaudette-Crookshank

Sanderson-Zub
Chabot-Jensen
Kleven-Matinpalo

Linus Ullmark gets the start in goal.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 PM at the CTC. The game is available on TSN5, TSN1200 and on streaming sites all across the information super highway.

If there’s one thing I know about the Ottawa Senators, it’s that they are vibe-driven operation. A real “feel good, play good” kind of team. If you’re going to the game tonight, turn it up a notch. I’m talkin’ completely unhinged. If you’re watching at home, put on that lucky jersey. Anything lucky will do. If you’re one of them comment section lurkers, drop in with a “Go Sens Go” today. Get the vibes right and the rest should fall into place.

Go Sens Go.
